Who is it for?

3 types of the SSR membership

Membership shall be of three categories: ordinary, associate and honorary.

Annual subscription fees are applicable.

Ordinary Members

Annual Subscription Fee of $25 SGD

Shall be medical practitioners, i.e. rheumatologists, trainees in rheumatology and medical practitioners who are not rheumatologists but have a special interest in rheumatology, working in Singapore, and registered with the Singapore Medical Council. Member Rheumatologists should be accredited by the Specialist Accreditation Board of the Ministry of Health, Singapore. Scientific workers and researchers, who are active in fields related to rheumatology and working in Singapore, qualify as ordinary members as well.

Annual Subscription Fee of $15 SGD

Shall be allied healthcare professionals registered with the respective professional bodies in Singapore and are interested in rheumatology.

Not Applicable

Shall be distinguished persons who have rendered notable service to the Society or to the advancement of rheumatology in Singapore and are recommended by the executive committee and elected by majority at a general meeting.

Rights & Privileges of Membership

Attend meetings

Members are entitled to attend meetings of the Society

Entitled to vote

Ordinary members are entitled to vote at General Meetings.

Attend General Meetings

Only members are entitled to attend General Meetings of the Society.

Member's Area

Members will be granted access to the Members’ Area of the Society’s website and the resources contained therein.

Kept Up to date on local CME Activities

Members will be kept up to date on local CME activities

Webinar Invitations

Members will be kept up to date on webinar invitations extended to the Singapore Society of Rheumatology members by external organizations

International Conferences

Members will be kept up to date on local and international rheumatology conferences.

Social Activities

Members will be updated about social activities.

Application Process

I’ve applied, what’s next?

Action on your request for membership will be made by the Executive Committee during our meetings. You will be notified shortly thereafter of their decision.

The executive committee reserves the right to reject applicants without informing the applicant of their reasons for rejection.
